In an effort to capture the T.W.T experience, we asked a few of our very kind regulars if they wouldn't mind telling the story... service with a smile, some beautiful wares & of course a laugh, a brew & a good yarn or two.
Next in the chair was our favourite Scotsman: Mark Wyper.
A shared love of great clothes, denim & beer, while talking bollocks about anything & everything else secured a friendship from the first time Mark sat down in Tom's chair.
We asked Mark to give us just a bit more of an insight into the great man himself....
How: I have no idea how I've gotten to where I am today. I just follow what I love doing and surround myself with people that I like. It's not a perfect method and I'm still waiting for my luck to run out.
Why: I moved to Wellington from Scotland for the best possible reason. A girl. She's now my wife so it was worth the risk.
Where: I'm infamous for yapping on about how great Copenhagen is and I'm not going to apologise for that. It has everything I want from life and looks great doing it. I'm also obligated to say Scotland.
What: I'm in winter mode so making gin martini's at home and listening to Sigur Ros with the heat pump on. When I do head out it's for a pint of Guinness at Regent.
Who: Kurt Vonnegut is my Roman Empire and I love the DIY anti establishment thinking of Steve Albini.
Mark wears the wavy utility shirt from 3sixteen & the original spec chinos from Buzz Ricksons: https://thatwasthen.co.nz/collections/marks-look
