Hi'aka SS Tee - Pigment Dye Winter Pear

Loomed on vintage loop wheel machines in Japan, it takes over 1.5hrs to make a single Sunray garment. The result is a garment that is luxuriously soft, will wear and wash beautifully, and will not lose its shape.

The Hi'aka is the most popular and staple womens tee in the Sunray Spirit collection.  It is a cropped silhouette, designed to sit perfectly under the belt loops of your denim.  A reinforced rib at the neck to last the distance, with a high neckline for that perfect vintage look & feel. 

This colourway is very special addition to the Sunray family: part of the Pigment dye collection.  Pigment dye is like a painting on your garment, requiring special skills to achieve this unique look.  Sunray have partnered with Mr Sasaski, a grand master of pigment dye.  He has more than 30 years experience perfecting this art, and has developed his own solution, allowing for colours that are both rich and with depth.  All of this is done in a small part of his house, outside Kyoto.
