Sand casted key hook

Founded in 2014, Kobashi Studio is a Tokyo-based atelier specialising in handmade Japanese accessories and jewellery, led by designer Junichi Kobashi.

With solid brass as the signature material of the collection, Kobashi crafts with with authentic materials and artisanal precision. Each creation involves significant handwork and is produced in small batches, embracing traditional roots with contemporary design. 

This is a handmade key hook by sand casting. The master mould is developed by Junichi Kobashi, and hooks are made by family operated sand casting workshop since 1958.  Each hook is filed and engraved "kobashi" in Japanese letters with foot stamping machine. No two pieces are ever the same due to the complete handcrafting and sand mould surface.

The hook is angled to fit the body beautifully. 100% solid brass. Comes with wax paper envelope.
