Waffle Pullover

W'menswear is a Bangkok based design studio led by Lauren Yates, and driven by a vision to readapt men's garments for the contemporary woman.  As a design based brand, the focus is on a vernacular approach, working with authentic methods of fabrication to weave the stories of trail blazing women into their garments.  Showcasing creative feminine silhouettes with a strong aesthetic that tell the story of women forging their way through history.   

This waffle pullover is a pure Japanese cotton waffle knit sweater in a comfortable, relaxed fit.  It has been manufactured in a family owned Bankgkok knitting factory that has a commitment to maintaining a highly skilled team who can operate their ‘hand frame’ manual knitting machines. Being the only players in the region who still use these labor-intensive machines, their technicians naturally have 15-20 years of experience under their belts. Unlike automatic machines, hand-frame machines take up to 12 months of training to be able to operate to their high standards.
